Medical Malpractice

Medical malpractice is one of the leading causes of death in the United States, killing up to 100,000 people each year. Those who survive may suffer permanent disability, long-term health damage, and/or a more painful and extended recovery time. Treatment(s) that are a result of medical malpractice can be very expensive, and yet only a small percentage of victims pursue reimbursement.

Taking legal action while trying to recuperate or help a loved one recuperate from medical malpractice is an overwhelming prospect. Medication Errors

Medication errors due to incorrect medication or failing to provide proper dosage can have results ranging in severity from minor to fatal. Poor packaging and labeling, inadequate policies and procedures, and failure to consider a patient’s medical history are just some of the causes of medication errors.

Diagnosis Errors

Delayed diagnosis, misdiagnosis, and complete failure to diagnose a medical condition or event are examples of diagnosis errors. Diagnosis error often leads to death or permanent disability in a person who could have recovered with proper treatment in a timely manner. The delay of a diagnosis or the improper diagnosis usually results in a more invasive and more painful treatment than would have been otherwise required. A misdiagnosis can lead to a person in perfect health undergoing dangerous, unnecessary treatments, sometimes changing their lives forever.
